Building relationships is not something I think comes naturally to everyone, especially for us introverts. Amber talks with me about struggling to build relationships through a more direct communication style.

She talks candidly about the lessons she learned from her Dad and attributes her sales knowledge to him. We also dive into personal values; for Amber, those are compassion, honesty, trust, and respect. Because she values those things she always been a direct communicator, which can be difficult for others, she says “you have to consider where the person is mentally, honesty isn’t always the best policy”.

If you are not focused on building better relationships…you should be.

Building relationships is a large part of finding success in this world and an area Amber says she has needed to work on over the years. It’s not about you it’s about everyone else. Ask what can I do to help or what more can I be doing? Make more of a point to understand people around you, what their goals are, and what their aspirations are.
